DAY 01 - CAIRO / AL ALMEIN / MARSA MATROUH

Meet with your Safari Guide and depart on the early morning on the drive to Al Almein, the place
where the Allied forces of WWII gained a decisive victory over the Axis forces. There is also a war
museum with collectibles from the Battle of Al Almein and other North African battles. Then on to
Marsa Matrouh to visit Rommel's Museum, hewn in the rock, where Rommel drew up plans of his
military operations. It has now been turned into a Military Museum and is also famous for British,
Italian & German Cemeteries. On arrival check in to your hotel in Marsa Matrouh.

Early morning we continue driving by 4WD to the fantastic Oasis of Siwa. Here visit the mud-brick
town of Shali towering above the oasis, the remains of the ancient Temple of the Oracle of Amun with
a panoramic view for the whole area, the Gabal El Mouta, the mountain of the dead, and interesting
tombs from the Greek-Roman period. Overnight camping.

In Siwa we visit also the famous Cleopatra VII bath, a deep pool of bubbling water where you can
bathe and the saltwater lake of Siwa located in the west. We will tour the oasis to know more about
the Siwan and Bedouin by visiting the Traditional Siwan House Museum in the town center. In fact,
the area is also well known for its crafts, particularly woven cloth, which is unique in Egypt. Return
to the hotel for overnight stay.
