DAY
01 - ARRIVAL TO CAIRO

Arrival
to Cairo Airport and meet for transfer to hotel. Rest of day at leisure,
as per flight arrival time.

DAY
02 - PYRAMIDS & SPHINX TOUR
 |
|
| |
Breakfast
then meet with guide and start tour with a visit to Memphis, the
ancient capital of Egypt
dating from 3100 BC which contains the beautiful representation
of King Ramsis II through his colossal
statue. Then proceed to Sakkara where we will see the world-famous
Step Pyramid of King Zoser,
the oldest known of
Egypt's 107 Pyramids. At the Pyramids area, visit the Three Pyramids
built for
Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren & Mycerinus on the Giza Plateau and
the mysterious Sphinx.
After the tour, transfer on to Cairo Rail Station for departure
on overnight train to Luxor.

DAY
03 - LUXOR TOUR
 |
|
| |
Arrival
early morning to Luxor Railway Station and meet for transfer to
board the Nile Cruise. Guide
will then take you on a tour to visit the Temple of Luxor dedicated
to the god Amun which is also
known with its pillars that take the form of a bundle of Papyrus.
Proceed to the Temple of Karnak,
built over more than a thousand years by generations of Pharaohs.
Return back to the cruise.

DAY
04 - WEST BANK & ESNA
 |
|
| |
After
breakfast onboard start the tour by crossing to the West Bank of the
Nile to visit the Valley of
Kings, a vast "City of the Dead" where magnificent tombs
were carved & filled with treasures for the
afterlife by generations of Pharaohs. Then proceed to the foot of
the cliff, to see the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut, the only woman who ruled Egypt in the Pharaonic History.
On the way back to the River
Nile, your road passes by the famed Colossi of Memnon. Return to cruise
and departure on sail to Esna.

DAY
05 - EDFU & KOM OMBO

|
| |
Sail
to Edfu & on arrival visit the Temple of Horus, the largest
and most complete preserved Pharoanic
Temple
that combines Pharaonic & Greek architectures. Return to Cruise
and sail for Kom Ombo where
you will visit the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris. The temple stands
at a bend in the Nile where in ancient
times sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the river bank.

DAY
06 - ASWAN TOUR
 |

| |
Sail
for Aswan where on arrival you will visit the High Dam which was an
engineering miracle when it
was built in the 1960s. Then move on to Philae Temple which was dedicated
to goddess Isis. It is
now reassembled at a new site on Agilika Island about 500km from its
former site on Philae Island. In
the afternoon take a Felucca Ride to view the Elephantine Island that
contains the relics of stone
temples of various eras, the Plantation (Kitchener) Island which lies
in a mild-stream near Elephantine
Island & combines a natural exhibition of exotic plants &
trees imported from all over the world & the
Agha Khan Mausoleum which is located on a top of a hill at the southern
end of the West Bank.

07 - LUXOR / CAIRO
 |

Breakfast
onboard and then disembark. The day is then free at leisure until
early evening transfer to
Aswan Railway Station to board the overnight train for return to Cairo
(Optional morning activity: Abu Simbel Tour, situated 280km south
of Aswan, lies the two temples of
Abu Simbel. The first temple was built by Pharaoh Ramses II &
the other for his wife Queen Nefertari)

DAY
08 - CAIRO CITY TOUR
 |

| |
Approximately
6AM arrival to Giza Railway Station and meet for the transfer to your
hotel. At 9AM
depart with the guide to visit the Egyptian Museum which houses around
250.000 antique pieces in
its 107 halls. It comprises the world's greatest collection of Ancient
Egyptian Artifacts. Then on to
visit the Citadel Of Saladin, a spectacular medieval fortress dating
from the 12th century and perched
on
a hill above the city. Also located in the Citadel are the Alabaster
Mosque & Tomb of the Ottoman
ruler Mohamed Ali. At the end of your tour proceed to the Khan El
Khalily Bazaar which is one of the
earliest and greatest markets in the Middle East & contains stores
that exhibit wonderful collections of
jewelry, wooden products & attractive hand-made products. Return
to hotel and evening at leisure.

09 - FREE DAY (OPTIONAL TOUR TO ALEXANDRIA)

Breakfast
at hotel and free day at leisure. (Optional Tour can be included to
visit Alexandria the 2nd
city of Egypt and known as "the Bride of the Mediterranean".
Visiting Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa,
which dates back to the 2nd century AD. Nearby we will see Amod El
Sawary or The Pompey's Pillar,
proceed to the Qaitbay Fort, the Library of Alexandria and enjoy the
beauty of Alexandria beaches
in Montazah Palace which was built in the East of Alexandria on a
high hill overlooking the beach)
