GOREME
OPEN AIR MUSEUM & FAIRY CHIMNEYS (Daily

to Devrent Valley and Monk's valley (Pasabagi) where you will
find the world famous fairy
chimneys formed by the erosion of volcanic rock and hermitages
carved into these chimneys.
Break for lunch in Avanos, a charming town famous for its
pottery. Traditional pottery making
techniques are still in use today. Then on to visit Goreme
Open-Air Museum to explore the
numerous churches and monasteries with their frescoes. These
churches
and monasteries
where carved from the soft volcanic stone and decorated by
Medieval Orthodox Christian
Monks around 1000-1200AD. A visit to Ortahisar Natural Rock

DERINKUYU
UNDERGROUND CITY & OLD GREEK VILLAGES (Daily

Visit Derinkuyu Underground City which was built as a defence
and hiding site during the
period of spreading Christianity. It was formed by excavating
the soft rock underground and
is estimated to have been built during the 9th-10th centuries.
Then on to Cavusin Old
Christian Village where you will find a triple Apse church and
the monastery of St John the
Baptist. Also in the town there are chapels, churches and rock
houses which are still inhabited
to this day and in Sinasos Old Greek Village you will find old
Greek and Ottoman houses. The
days touring includes an easy grade 3km hike through Red Valley
offering some great scenery
that would otherwise not be accessible by car and a visit to
Uchisar Natural Rock Castle. RATE:

BALLOON
TOUR (Daily

Without doubt, the most exciting way to view the dramatic
scenery of this unique area is
from
a hot air balloon. You will be picked up a from your hotel
just before sunrise and taken
to the the take-off site to watch the preparations for the
departure. The flight itself lasts for
at least 1 hour, during which time you will fly at varying
heights allowing you panoramic views
of the landscape spread out beneath, as well as a close-up
view of the area from above. After
landing celebrate this unique experience with a drink before

the old Greek village of Cemil along with Kayakapi an old
