Blue Mosque
HALF DAY ISTANBUL CITY TOUR (Daily departures)
Blue Mosque: Its magnificent series of domes and semi-domes, six slender minarets sprouting
from the corners of the mosque, its spacious courtyard, its grandiose yet elegant proportions,
make the Blue Mosque one of the architectural marvels of the world. The ancient Hippodrome,
scene of chariot races and the center of Byzantine civil life, stood in the open space in front
of the Blue Mosque. Haghia Sophia Museum: St Sophia was built at the command of Emperor
Justinian in the years 532 to 537. The courtyard harbors a number of fascinating Ottoman
structures. The Grand Bazaar was built at the command of Fatih Mehmet shortly after the
Conquest. It contains 4399 shops, 2195 workshops, 497 stalls and 18 fountains.

Rumeli Fortress
HALF DAY BOSPHOROUS CRUISE & SPICE BAZAAR (Daily departures)
Spice Bazaar: This covered market is an attractive L-shaped building to the southwest of
the Yeni Cami. Its English name survives from the time when the market specialized in the
sale of spices and herbs, as well as medicinal plants and drugs. Boat Cruise on Bosphorus:
The Bosphorus, waterway between two continents, is beautiful at any time, day or night in
any season. On the way to the Black Sea, you can see the finest and richest examples of
the Ottoman houses and palaces on the shores. Rumeli Fortress: In 1452, Mehmet II prepared
to besiege Constantinople by constructing a fortress at Rumeli Hisari. It took less than four
months to build, thanks to 3000 laborers and master masons assigned to the task. Crenellated
walls and round towers are popular with photgraphers and offers one of the nicest views.

St Sophia

FULL DAY ISTANBUL CITY TOUR (Daily departures)
Depart in the morning on a full day tour visiting the magesty of the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome
and Obelisks and the magnificence of the Haghia Sophia. Also a visit to the maze that is the
Grand Bazaar before a break for lunch. After lunch continue on our journey to the Topkapi
Palace and Suleymaniye Mosque. Topkapi Palace was the administrative center, for nearly
400 years, for the Ottoman Empire, which was one of the greatest empires of the world.
Topkapi Palace is certainly the most important historical site to be visited in Istanbul. In
1461, less than ten years after the Conquest, Fatih Mehmet ordered the construction of
Topkapi Sarayi a palace that would be known as Dar-üs Saadet, the "House of Felicity".
Topkapi remained the seat of Ottoman Sultans until 1868, when moved to Dolmabahce.

Dolmabahce Palace

FULL DAY BOSPHOROUS CRUISE & DOLMABAHCE PALACE (Daily departures)
Depart in the morning on a full day tour visiting the scents of the Spice Bazaar, boat cruise
on the Bosphorus with a visit to the Rumeli Fortress. After a break for lunch, on to visit the
Bosphorus Bridge and Camlica Hill for panoramic views of the city. Visit to Dolmabahce Palace
is also included. This palace is located in what was originally a bay where the navy anchored
in the early periods when the Ottomans conquered Istanbul. Between 1611-1614, this bay
had been filled in and a timber building with a large garden called "the Besiktas Palace" had
been built with the order of Sultan Ahmet I. The land of
the Besiktas Palace, which had
become completely useless due to a fire, was chosen as the site of the new palace since it
was by the sea side and close to the city center
.

PRINCES' ISLAND TOUR (Daily departures)
Depart from you hotel in the morning for a cruise on Marmara Sea. Travel on to Buyuk Ada
Island, twenty kilometers from the historic peninsula. This popular summer resort with its
sandy beaches and pinewood scenery, was once the pleasure island of Byzantine Princes'.
Enjoy a ride in a Horse Drawn Carriage and then sit back and relax for a while during the
break for lunch. Afer lunch, return to Istanbul by cruise. Lunch is included in the tour.
